charlotte hornets colors: navy blue, red, white,

because charlotte was the affiliate of the
navy blue red and white colored washington senators mlb team

all other colors used by the charlotte hornets during the mid 50’s I think are: grey color for one of their jersey’s

Charleston ChaSox and white sox colors: black, red, white

charleston chasox and charleston white sox colors
are the same colors as the 1959-61 chicago white sox

because 1959 charleston chasox and 1960-61 charleston white sox wore white sox caps since their name had “sox” in it

the charleston chasox and charleston white sox basically wore the same cap as the american league chicago team since “sox” was part of both minor league teams name. So I guess they didn’t go with a C for charleston or ChaSox or something but instead “sox” cause it fit in, and it saved money I guess.

I would think that running a ball club in a minor league location wasn’t the most financially easy thing to do for some teams back on those days but I may be wrong.
